Plymouth: Federal inspection team returns to Pilgrim

After two main lines that transmit power out of the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Plant in Plymouth were knocked out during last week’s blizzard, a federal inspection team is coming to Pilgrim on Monday to learn about what happened, and to perform an inspection. The visit is expected to last about a week.

Officials at Pilgrim say there was no public safety hazard.

Pilgrim remains shut down for maintenance work. No word on when the plant will be back online.

About David Skill

Dave Skill’s radio career began in the fall of 1964 when he arrived on the campus of Holy Cross College in Worcester, MA. As you might imagine, his grades reflected it! During his junior and senior years, he also worked weekends in news and as a disc jockey at WNEB, the CBS radio affiliate in Worcester at the time...
