Pembroke: Energy Forum at Library Tonight (Oct. 29)

You’ve got questions; they’ve got answers when it comes to energy.

“We’re bringing in experts from EverSource, National Grid, Columbia Gas, and we also have the governor’s deputy commissioner of energy resources coming down to Pembroke to talk about energy policy [and] energy pricing,” said State Rep. Josh Cutler, who’s hosting tonight’s forum at the Pembroke Library.

The discussion will also tackle “how energy prices are set, who has oversight, how residents can save on energy bills,” as well as “all about [energy rebate program] ‘MassSave’ and the options they offer.”

Cutler said the experts will try to cover all the bases, including, “solar incentives, all the different types of energy-related questions that people have.

“We’ll have all the key experts in the room, and they can answer residents’ questions, and hopefully share some insight,” he said.

What about those letters from other “energy providers” soliciting your business?

“So that’s one of the questions on the list,” said Cutler, “how people can choose alternate energy suppliers, what they process is… That’s a great question, and hopefully that will come up tonight.”

The forum is open to everyone; it’s from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Pembroke public library.
