Quincy: Quincy Credit Union Working Damage Control After Customers’ Accounts Hacked

Quincy Credit Union is responding, as customers complain about fraudlent transactions on their accounts on the company’s Facebook page.

QCU had this message for customers Sunday afternoon:  ”If you are experiencing or suspect fraudulent activity on your debit card, please contact us by phone at (617) 479-5558, ext. 121, where you will be prompted for additional information. You may also contact us via email through our QCU Guestbook form found on the qcu.org website. Please indicate your debit card number using the last four digits. We are addressing this situation.  Until our investigation is complete, we are restricting debit card /ATM authorizations until Monday, December 28 at noon.  Please review your account.  We will provide additional information as it becomes available.”

Some of the people posting comments on the Facebook page say hundreds of dollars has been stolen from their accounts.
