Plymouth: Pilgrim Plant Running at Half Power Due to Scheduled Maintenance

The Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station is undergoing what is being described as “regularly scheduled maintenance” and, as a result, is running at about half power.

According to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the plant, which is expected to be closed no later than 2019, was operating at 47 percent yesterday.

A spokesman for the plant’s owner, Entergy, did not say when the plant would go back to full power.

About David Skill

As you might imagine, his grades reflected it! During his junior and senior years, he also worked weekends in news and as a disc jockey at WNEB, the CBS radio affiliate in Worcester at the time...
