Kingston: Worker Injured During Insulation Job, Flown to Boston Hospital

A construction worker is lucky to be alive after an incident on a job site in Kingston.

“A gentleman was working at the Kingston Collection Way — they were doing insulation on a building under renovation construction,” said Fire Captain David Currier.

“In the area he was working in, some of the supports let go and he fell approximately 20 feet. He never lost consciousness, had some internal injuries and was flown to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.”

Currier says the man is expected to recover.

“He was complaining of back pain and some right sided pain. But he was talking to us the entire time,” Currier said.

The accident happened late Saturday morning at the old Independence Mall, now the Kingston Collection.
