Marshfield: Cops for Kids with Cancer Fundraiser on Thursday, Nov. 17 (Audio Interview)

Cops for Kids with Cancer — that’s what they’re raising money for this Thursday night, Nov. 17 at the Mamma Mia’s Restaurant in Marshfield. The event includes an all-you-care-to-eat appetizer buffet, cash bar, silent auction, raffles, entertainment, valet and more. Over $17,000 was raised for the charity in just one day during last year’s fundraising efforts.

WATD’s Christine James sat down with some of the organizers behind the event, Marshfield Police Chief Phil Tavares, Mass. State Police Lt. Colonel Thomas Grenham, and April Oliveira, marketing director for Mamma Mia’s, for more details on the fundraiser:

$20 adults/$5 children at the door the night of Nov. 17 from 7-11 PM at the Marshfield Mamma Mia’s location, 93 Careswell St. (Rt. 139). Proceeds will be donated to Cops for Kids with Cancer to assist local families.

10% of food sales for the day at Carmella’s in Kingston or the 5 other Mamma Mia’s locations will be donated to Cops for Kids with Cancer.

If you are unable to attend but would still love to give, they are accepting checks at the Mamma Mia’s in Marshfield and at the Marshfield Police Department made payable to: Cops for Kids with Cancer.
