Live from the Weir Farm in Hingham on Saturday, April 28th from Noon – 3:00

Lisa Azizian will broadcast live on 95.9-FM from the Weir River Farm on Saturday, April 28th from 12-3:00 PM!

Kick off the start of the spring season at Weir River Farm’s annual Sheep Shearing Festival Saturday, April 28 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.! Their new flock of Suffolk sheep have arrived in the barnyard. Join them as they prepare them for the hot summer days with a nice fresh shearing and learn all about life as a sheep on the farm.

The day includes shearing demonstrations, sheep herding demonstrations, and spinning demonstrations. These will be fun and educational for kids and adults alike!

The sheep, goats, ponies, chickens, and pigs will greet you in the barnyard. Then, head off to challenge a friend in a potato sack race, create a sheep craft, get a farm “tattoo”, and more!

After all this fun, you’ll be sure to have worked up an appetite, enjoy a bite to eat from local food vendors Mom on the Go Grilled Cheese and Rolling Roost. Save room for dessert from Ben & Jerry’s and enjoy a cold local brew from Zelus Brewery.

Parking is located at 140 Turkey Hill Lane in Hingham. Parking assistance will be on site to direct visitors, as this is a very popular festival at the farm. The cost is $24 for Trustees member families and $30 for non-member families. Follow Weir River Farm on Facebook and Instagram for more details.
