Hanover: FY19′ Budget Passes and Town Manger Act Amended

Hanover Town Moderator Doug Thomson remarked how Town Meeting typically spends time debating minor issues and passes a multi-million dollar operating budget in minutes, but not this year. Voters took time to examine cost cutting before approving the $60 million budget. Voters also raised the salary of the Town Clerk, bought trucks, police cruisers, LED street lights and security cameras for the schools. They kept the Town Clerk position an elected one and amended the Town Manager Act. Chairman of Hanover selectmen Dave Delaney.

Hanover Annual Town Meeting completed all its business in one four-and-a-half hour session.
