If you travelling over the Sagamore Bridge on Monday you may see some people protesting the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station.

Cape Downwinders will be gathering on the Cape side of the bridge for the No Escape From The Cape Rally which calls for the closure of the Plymouth plant, a protest which they have been doing for roughly 18 years.

The group’s director, Diane Turco tells WATD News that while the focus is on the danger posed to Cape residents, she says the plant is a threat to the entire region.

The rally will go from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. near the Christmas Tree Shops and Turco says all are welcome to take part and can bring their own signs and banners if they wish.
