A Quincy man was arrested after allegedly tagging a Charles River Bridge.

Boston Police say that at around 4:30 p.m. Monday an officer on patrol in the area of Commonwealth Ave. and Essex St. observed a man on the railroad, dangerously close to the edge of the bridge.

The officer then said they observed the suspect spray paint the railroad tracks before walking further down the tracks to spray paint a second section.

He then walked off the tracks toward a path next to Storrow Dr. at which point the officer noticed a tag on the bridge that was similar to a tag on the newly renovated Longfellow Bridge that was the subject of an ongoing investigation.

The officer then approached the suspect, identified as 22-year-old Brett Cullen, and took him into custody.

Police say Cullen will be arraigned in Brighton District Court on two counts of Felony Tagging.
