A Carver woman is facing charges in connection with a crash involving a car and bicycle.

Carver Police say they responded to 165 Plymouth St. last Sunday afternoon to reports of a motor vehicle collision between a car and bike, and found a 16-year-old male rider with non-life threatening injuries.

An investigation determined that the driver, identified as 59-year-old Denise Clarke had reportedly been driving west on Plymouth St., in a 2006 Hyundai, veered across the center line into the eastbound lane, striking the bicycle, which had been traveling east.

Clarke then continued driving west in the east bound lane, forcing another driver off the road, before she returned to the scene of the bike crash, where she was arrested.

The bike rider was taken to BID-Plymouth Hospital.

Clarke is facing several charges including operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, 2nd offense.
