Cohasset: Impaled Puppy Now Back Home

A dog has been released from the hospital after being impaled by a branch last week.

Cohasset Police say Lexi, 10-month-old Vizsla puppy is now at home with her human family.

Lexi was impaled by a tree branch while on a walk on the trails of Whitney Woods on Thursday.

Police pulled her out of the woods and transferred her to VCA Weymouth for emergency surgery.

Her owners tell police she is slowly starting to eat and should be back to herself in 4-6 weeks.
