july 4th duxbury float

It’s the day before the 4th of July, but you can still catch some fireworks and fun.

Weymouth will be holding a day-long celebration today with music and vendors and fireworks shooting off at 9:30pm at Wessagusset State Park.

Tonight at the Brockton Fair, in addition to the rides and events, a fireworks show will begin at 10:45pm at 433 Forest Avenue.

And a very colorful parade by the unique Philadelphia “mummers” -who will be decked out in flashy costumes- will be marching down North Main Street in Randolph tonight, and will end with fireworks at 9:30pm.

Tomorrow, in honor of Independence Day, Duxbury will be holding their annual road race at 8:30am at Powder Point Ave.

Hingham will also be holding a road race starting at 7 a.m. at the Middle School.

Plymouth will host a parade beginning at 9:30 am going through downtown, followed by the philharmonic concert taking place at Pilgrim State Park at 7:30 and then fireworks going off over the harbor at 9:15 p.m.

And Quincy will be hosting festivities as their parade kicks off at 10am, followed by a play re-enacting meetings of the Continental Congress from 2pm to 6pm at the Beale House and then a fireworks show starts at 9:15 out of Town River Bay.
