West Bridgewater: State Police Investigating Route 24 Shooting

Authorities are investigating a shooting that took place Monday night on Route 24.

The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office says West Bridgewater Police were called to the scene around 6:30 p.m. regarding a shooting that involved a motorist on Route 24 South.

The victim, identified only as a 44-year-old man, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton where he was treated and released.

The victim’s vehicle, a Saturn SUV, was taken for processing at the State Police Lab in Lakeville.

The District Attorney says the incident does not appear to be a random act of violence.
