Hanson: Veteran’s Home Vandalized, Two Juveniles Facing Charges

Two juveniles are facing charges after a veteran’s home was vandalized.

Hanson Police say that on Monday they received a report that a house being built for a disabled veteran on State St. was vandalized.

The home, which is being built by Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors, had twenty four windows and three doors destroyed along with some installed lighting with damage estimated at more than $50,000.

Neighbors reported seeing two male suspects in the area on Saturday night and, after a follow up investigation, police identified two male juvenile suspects who were brought to the station by their parents Monday night.

Police say the parents cooperated fully with the investigation.

The two male juveniles will appear in Plymouth Juvenile Court at a later date where they will be charged with Vandalism.

The project is being funded by volunteers and donations through Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors, The New England Carpenters Training Fund, and Commodore Builders.

The Plymouth County Sheriffs BCI Unit assisted in the investigation.
