Pembroke: Juvenile Makes Social Media Threat

Pembroke Police will be a visible presence on Tuesday after a threat was made toward a school.

Police say that at around 10:30 a.m. Monday they were notified of a threat that had been made on social media by a juvenile.

Officers responded and conducted an investigation which resulted in the juvenile being placed under arrest.

An interview was conducted with the juvenile and their parents and it was found that the juvenile had no access to weapons and the social media posts were removed.

Police say that while there is no ongoing credible threat they will remain in contact with school officials and a police presence will be provided for students returning to school Tuesday morning.
