A Dartmouth woman has come forward to claim the $1 Million Mega Millions ticket that was sold in Bridgewater.

The Massachusetts State Lottery said that 40-year-old Jennifer Santo purchased a Quic Pic that matched the first five numbers drawn in the multi-state game on Tuesday.

Santo claimed the ticket with her husband, Manuel, and opted to receive a one-time payment of $1,000,000.

This windfall comes after the couple had a non-refundable trip cancelled at the airport after it was discovered that the date of their departure was less than three months from the expiration date on his passport.

Santo says she plans to use a portion of her winnings to invest in the education their two children.

The Cumberland Farms at 33 Main St. in Bridgewater will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of the ticket.

A second $1 million prize won on a ticket sold at Wilmington Nouria, at 586 Main St. in Wilmington has yet to be claimed.
