Hingham: High School In Lockdown Mode After Threat **Update: Lockdown Lifted

Update at Noon: Lockdown at school has ended but some police officers remain on scene.


More information is being released regarding the lockdown currently underway at Hingham High School.

Principal Rick Swanson says they received a phone call about an alleged threat, immediately contacted local police, and placed the school in a lockdown.

Officers are at the school now and Swanson says they are convinced everyone is safe.

Swanson says they expect the lockdown to end soon, at which point the school day will resume.

He says they will share additional details as soon as possible.

Police say the lockdown was put in effect after a reported threat by phone.

Officers are present at school and police say all students are safe now.

The incident is currently being investigated.
