Hingham: Overnight Road Closure On Route 3A

An overnight road closure will be in effect on Route 3A.

Hingham Police say the Back River Bridge will be completely closed overnight (Wednesday through Thursday) starting at 9 p.m.- 5 a.m.

The road is being closed due to scheduled work taking place in the river.

Police say detour signs, message boards and detail officers will be in place but motorists are being advised to allow for extra time.

In addition the MBTA will post information on their website regarding where riders can connect to a bus during this detour.
