We now know the name of the million dollar Powerball winner from East Wareham

Ilona McCahill made headlines as the winner of a $1 million Powerball lottery on Wednesday.

McCahill drew a Quic Pic ticket where the first five numbers gave her the million dollars for the drawing that had a jackpot of $345 Million.

It all started when Ilona’s husband, James went to the Stop & Shop at 2991 Cranberry Highway to buy eggs, and he decided to give his wife the winning ticket.

The Stop & Shop that sold the ticket will be given $10,000 as a bonus for selling it.

McCahill says she will use some of her winnings to support to her family, while another portion will be donated to charity.
