Braintree: Plymouth Man Charged With Overnight Bank Break-In

One man is under arrest following an overnight break-in at a bank.

Braintree Police say that at around 2 a.m. Monday officers responded to an alarm at the Envision Bank on Rockdale St.

The first officer to arrive on scene noticed that the door to the ATM was slightly open.

He also heard a noise from inside the bank.

He began to check the outside of the building as he waited for other officers to arrive when he saw a man exit through one of the doors.

The suspect was pursued by the responding officer along with other officers who arrived on scene.

The suspect, 37-year-old Stephen Reddy of Plymouth, was eventually taken into custody with the help of a police canine.

Reddy was arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering in the Nighttime and Breaking Into A Depository.

Police say the incident remains under investigation.
