Marshfield: Green Communities Grant Helps Town Invest in Electric Car

Thanks to a $250,000 Green Communities Grant awarded last summer, the town of Marshfield is reducing their carbon footprint by investing in an electric car and two charging stations

Marshfield Town Administrator, Michael Maresco says this new all electric Chevy Bolt will be part of the Town’s fleet and available to any employee on official business.

Another initiative the town committed to was installing LED lights in the parking lots at Town Hall, Central Fire Station and the elementary and middle schools.

Once those projects are complete and the state checks to make sure the money was spent appropriately, Maresco plans on reapplying for another grant this year.
