Wareham: New Bedford Woman Accused Of Pulling Gun During Argument

A woman is facing charges after she allegedly pulled a gun on a man in Wareham.

Police say that at about 7:15 p.m. Wednesday officers were dispatched to the area of the Woods at Wareham over a report that a female who had pulled a firearm on a male.

Officers were told that the suspect was driving a black sport utility type vehicle and was leaving the property onto Swifts Beach Road.

A vehicle matching the description parked on the side of Swifts Beach Road a short time later.

Police say a brief investigation determined that a female in the vehicle, 21-year-old Alyssa Sinclair of New Bedford, was carrying a loaded firearm.

Sinclair was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, and possession of a firearm without a permit.

Police say it appears there was an argument taking place when the firearm was allegedly brandished.
