Hingham: Aquarion Wants Debate With Town Officials

As Hingham looks to purchase the water system currently being run by Aquarion, the company is calling for a series of debates with town officials on the issue.

Vice-President of Operations John Walsh tells WATD News that both sides took part in debates several years ago.

However, Hingham Board of Selectmen Chair Paul Healey says the courts have already weighed in and that Aquarion and parent company Eversource have had numerous opportunities to express their point of view.

The company has proposed the debates for March 7 in Hingham, March 21 in Hull, and March 23 in Hingham.

Walsh says if Hingham Town Officials choose not to participate they will hold those events as forums.
