Pembroke: School Committee to Discuss Marching Band Requirement Tonight

The Pembroke School Committee will be looking at a proposed change to a requirement that students enrolled in certain music classes must be part of the High School’s Marching band.

Principal Marc Talbot told the South Shore’s Morning News why he’s seeking to do away with the requirement.

However, parent Jennifer Mahar, whose daughter is in the band program, says that the courses themselves aren’t required for every students.

Tonight’s Pembroke School Committee Meeting is scheduled to take place at 7 p.m. at the North Pembroke Elementary School Library.
