Wareham: Dump Truck Being Sought In Connection With Fatal Crash

Officials are searching for a dump truck in connection with a fatal crash in Wareham this morning.

State Police say the crash took place around 4:45 a.m. on Route 195 Eastbound when it is believed a 2012 Nissan Titan pickup struck a light grey dump truck.

The Nissan then traveled off the road and crashed into the woodline.

The truck which believed to have been involved in this crash left the scene before troopers arrived.

A passenger in the Nissan, identified only as a 48-year-old man from Fall River, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, a 33-year-old man, also from Fall River sustained minor injuries and was transported to Toby Hospital in Wareham.

It’s believed that the dump truck may have damage to the left rear of the truck bed, including possible black paint transfer.

Wareham Fire and EMS provided assistance at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, Crime Scene Services Section, and troopers assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office.
