Brockton: City Council to Hold First Meeting in 18 Months at City Hall

The Brockton City Council are set to meet Monday night inside City Hall. It took nearly 18 months, but the elevator is now back in use after a custom system was designed and installed.

Acting Council President Dennis Eaniri , who was the first city councilor to ride in the newly installed elevator, says the system was inspected and deemed safe on March 21 by the state.

Many of the city boards and commissions like the city council had to move its meetings to the War Memorial Building on West Elm Street and the Arnone Elementary School to provide access to the public.

The City Council meet on Monday at 7 p.m. inside its chamber, located on the third floor of Brockton City Hall.
