Duxbury: Town Election, Override Question Results

Voters returned two incumbents and turned down a new DPW garage Saturday in Duxbury.

Moderator John Tuffy won 623 votes , challenger Laughlin Cleary won 232. Selectman Shawn Dahlen received 592 votes, enough to fend off a write-in challenge. All other races were uncontested.

An override question whether to pay for engineering and design of a new DPW building lost 340 “yes” to 536 “no” voters had their voice, but very few spoke. Duxbury has more than 12,000 registered voters.
