Plymouth: Police K9 Laid To Rest

It was the end of a watch for a Plymouth Police dog, who was laid to rest on Friday.

Plymouth Police announced the sudden retirement of K-9 Felix on Thursday following his recent diagnosis of an aggressive form of terminal cancer.

The four-legged officer’s last tour of duty was Friday as he was taken to the Court Street Animal Hospital to be put to sleep. K-9 Felix was led through two dozen Plymouth Police officers who lined the hospital walkway and stood at attention. Immediately after, a police escort took him to Angel View Pet Cemetery in Middleboro, where he is now buried.

K-9 Felix joined the force in 2017 and was assigned to Officer Keith Larson.
