Hingham: Arraignment For Rockland Man In SWAT Incident

An arraignment was held Wednesday for a Rockland man charged with an armed robbery that lead to a SWAT team being called in.

19-year-old Ivan Andujar was arraigned in Hingham District Court on charges of armed robbery and reckless endangerment of a child.

Andujar allegedly entered the passenger side of a car on Tuesday afternoon with a gun and threatened the driver before stealing the driver’s wallet, cellphone, and backpack.

Police say Andujar was seen entering a three family home on Church St.

The other floors were evacuated and the MetroLEC SWAT team called in.

Andujar then surrendered to police with a baby in his arm.

Beth Stone, a spokeswoman with the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office tells WATD News that Andujar will return to court Monday for a dangerousness hearing.
