Plymouth: New Boat Launch Begins Operating in Harbor

A new boat launch service began Wednesday in Plymouth after Plymouth Water Sports stopped offering the service last season.

Fran McMillen is now going to be operating Plymouth Launch in addition to Scituate Launch, which she has been running for the last 20 years.

Boaters can pay a $500 launch fee for the season which includes all trips to their mooring, and visitors will be able to pay $6 per trip to a boat mooring.

There will also be tag along tours where people can pay a small fee for a quick trip around the harbor.

Plymouth Launch service will run from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week, with the crew listening to radio channels 9 and 16 for pick-up requests.

They will operate until October 15th.
