Scituate: Town Considers Enhancing Widow’s Walk Golf Course

The town of Scituate created a commission to help bring new life back to the Widow’s Walk golf course.

The municipal golf course was opened back in 1997 and is need of a makeover.

Mark Joyce of the Scituate Golf Committee met with selectmen last week and is looking for roughly $1.5 million to help with enhancements.

Joyce says expansion of the clubhouse and more curb appeal is needed if Scituate wants to continue generating revenue from the course.

If the $1.5 million bond for upgrades to Widows Walk golf course is approved it will go to Scituate Town Meeting in November of this year.
