A 32-year-old Whitman elementary school music teacher is scheduled to be arraigned today (Tuesday) on charges of alleged inappropriate conduct between a teacher and a student.

Matthew DiMuccio is facing charges of two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14.

On May 15th, DiMuccio, a music teacher at Duval Elementary School, was placed on administrative leave by school officials, after Whitman Police began an investigation regarding his alleged inappropriate contact with a student.

The investigation, which is ongoing, determined probable cause and resulted in DiMuccio’s arrest.
