Hingham: Weymouth Arrested Facing Felony Charges Follwing 3rd DUI Arrest

A Weymouth man is facing felony charges after getting arrested for his third DUI.

57-year-old Wade Trent Hodges was arrested on Tuesday after he hit another car in the rotary on Summer Street in Hingham.

Neither driver was hurt, and when police arrived they noticed Hodges was swaying unsteadily and slurring his words.

As Hodges searched for his registration an officer noticed three open bottles of vodka in the driver’s door compartment.

Hodges denied he had been drinking, but then failed a field sobriety test and was ultimately placed under arrest.

Police searched the vehicle and found a total of 17 vodka bottles- some empty and some partially full.

Hodges is charged with Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol 3rd Offense, Negligent Operation and Open Containers of Alcohol in a Vehicle.

His past arrests were in 1984 and 2002.

Hodges was released after posting $200 cash bail and was arraigned in Hingham District Court on Wednesday.
