Braintree’s Mayor is looking to see what happens now that the Motel 6 is closed.

Mayor Joseph Sullivan tells WATD News the closure came a little more than two years ago following numerous incidents at the property.

However, Sullivan says that they’re not sure what the next steps will be.

Sullivan says he’d like to see some mixed use development in the area.

In the meantime Sullivan says they are working with the current owner to see that the property is sufficiently maintained until its sale.
