Weymouth: Federal Stay on Permit Processes for Proposed Compressor Station Ends Today

A stay on the Federal review process regarding two key components of the proposed Weymouth compressor station- wetlands permit and waterways permit- ends today.

When no decisions were made on August 5th Officials from the Coastal Zone and Management office extended the stay to today, and hope to finish their review by September 5th.

During this time, hearing officer Jane Rotchschild is expected to make a decision on whether or not to approve the permits.

Members of the Fore River Residents Against the Compressor Station are saying that if Rothschild gives approval and Commissioner Martin Suuberg rubberstamps the permits, they will take the matter to Superior Court.
