Brockton: City, Neighboring Towns Discuss Homelessness Issue, Ideas

Officials in Brockton held talks with local stakeholders and neighboring communities about the city’s homelessness issue.

 Mayor Moises Rodrigues says a stakeholders meeting was recently held with the city departments, churches and social services agencies that operate in Brockton to discuss solutions.

Brockton held a stakeholder meeting with many of the churches, social services agencies and city departments to look at ways to actually tackle the issue.

Rodrigues also met with officials from nearby communities to share ideas and the concept of regional day programs.

Brockton officials plan to have a second meeting with leaders from neighboring towns in a couple of weeks.
