Hingham: Traffic Stop Results in Drug Arrests

Hingham Police get a significant amount of drugs off the streets after stopping a car for having a light out.

Last Thursday, Hingham Police pulled over a car on Fort Hill Street around 2 am with two women and man in the vehicle.

27-year-old Randy Lohnes of Quincy was a passenger and told officers he had a warrant so he was immediately put in the back of a cruiser.

When he exited the car, Police noticed granules of a white substance on the seat and made the two other passengers exit the vehicle.

Police searched the vehicle and found 11 strips of suboxone, 4 grams of heroin, 8 grams of crystal meth, 8 grams of an unknown white powder, a scale and smoking paraphernalia

24-year-old Jamie Welsh also of Quincy was driving the car and she is charged with possession of crystal meth and a lights violation.

32-year-old Katirae Scannel of Roslindale was also arrested on a warrant.

The drugs had an estimated street value of $600.
