MA: Plymouth Man Faces Firearms and Drug Charges

A Plymouth man is facing firearms and drug charges after a traffic stop in Fall River.

On Tuesday evening 25-year-old Tyrell Sanchez of Plymouth and his passenger 22-year old Miguel Cortez of New Bedford were pulled over by State Police for having an expired inspection sticker.

Officers allege that when they approached they noticed both men moving suspiciously so they immediately ordered them to exit the vehicle.

Upon investigation, officers located fentanyl, crack cocaine, marijuana, over 18-hundred dollars cash, a glock handgun and ammunition.

Both face numerous charges including conspiracy to violate drug laws, carrying a loaded firearm, and possession with intent to distribute.

Both were transported to the jail in New Bedford pending bail and/or arraignment in New Bedford District Court.
