Plymouth: Paving and Sidewalk Repairs to Begin on Water/Samoset Streets

The town of Plymouth is notifying residents and business owners that paving and sidewalk repairs will be underway.

The work will occur during daytime hours along the section between Water street and Samoset Street.

The first two weeks of the project will consist of the removal and replacement of sidewalk panels. Lawrence Lynch Corporation of Falmouth will perform the sidewalk repair work.

On Monday, September 23rd T.L. Edwards of Avon will begin the milling of the roadway surface. The milling work will take approximately three days and will proceed within one travel lane at a time.

Once completed, an asphalt-leveling surface will be placed, and structures will then be raised to finish grade. Once those steps are accomplished, the remaining project elements will be completed, including final pavement, and striping.

The work is scheduled to be completed on or before the end of October.

Motorists should expect traffic delays in the area while the work is ongoing.
