Braintree: Hazmat Causes Harvard Van Guard Closure

Over two dozen people are treated after being exposed to a chemical at the Harvard Van Guard Medical Associates building in Braintree.

Fire Lieutenant and Medical Coordinator, Fred Viola tells WATD news the call came in a little after noon Wednesday.

The whole building was evacuated and ventilated and a Hazmat team was called in as well as Norfolk County Task Force ambulances to provide mutual aid in order to treat all of the people affected.

The building remained closed for the rest of the day.
