Plymouth: Thanksgiving Celebration Takes Place This Weekend

America’s Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration will be taking place in Plymouth this weekend with a series of events including a parade on Saturday.

Executive Director Olly deMacedo tells WATD News that the celebration’s biggest attraction is a parade on Saturday that will feature a wide array of bands, floats, and parachutists.

However, the event kicks off on Friday with a Salute to Veterans.

deMacedo says the event is taking on a special significance as the 400th Anniversary of the Pilgrim’s Arrival looms closer.

The festivities begin with salute to veterans taking place tonight from 7 to 9 at Memorial Hall. Then tomorrow the Golden Knights Army Parachute Team lands at the waterfront at 10 a.m. before the opening ceremony which begins at 10:30 a.m. at Cole’s Hill.
