Brockton: Pedestrian Struck By Police Cruiser

One person was hospitalized after being struck by a Brockton Police Cruiser Tuesday afternoon.

The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office says a preliminary investigation shows that at approximately 4:17 p.m. a Brockton Police Officer was responding to an emergency call with the lights and sirens activated when it struck a pedestrian in the area of 706 Main St.

The District Attorney’s Office says the officer immediately stopped his vehicle, reported the incident, and administered first aid to the female pedestrian.

The victim was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital where she remains for treatment.

Her name and current condition hasn’t been released.

The incident is being investigated by State Police Detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office.
