Plymouth: Special Presentation Regarding Decommissioning of Pilgrim Tonight

The Nuclear Decommissioning Citizens Advisory Panel or NDCAP are meeting tonight (Thursday) where there will be a special presentation regarding concerns about the decommissioning process of Plymouth’s Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station.

That’s NDCAP Chair, Sean Mullin who says Blanch’s presentation will focus on a few crucial parts of the decommissioning process including why he believes there are no requirements or capabilities for Holtec to ever remove the high level waste out of Plymouth.

Holtec Representatives had agreed to attend this meeting, but Mullin says they have since backed out, and instead distributed a previously provided power point presentation to be displayed.

Mullin says this is disappointing since the NDCAP are trying to offer meetings so that pertinent information can get out to the public.

The NDCAP meeting will take place tonight from 6:30 to 8:30 in the Great Room at Plymouth Town Hall.
