Hanson: Tree Falls On Route 58 Trapping Motorist

One person was trapped in their truck after a tree fell on Route 58 Thursday afternoon.

Hanson Fire officials tell WATD News the incident was reported around 4:15 p.m. in the area of 724 Monpossett St.

The tree caused wires to fall across the roadway and onto the truck.

National Grid crews responded quickly and worked to free him and he was able to get out after roughly ten minutes.

Power was shut off in the region as crews made repairs.
