Plymouth: Crews Called Out To Two Early Morning Fires

Crews were called out to two early Tuesday morning fires in Plymouth.

Fire Chief Ed Bradley tells WATD News that shortly before 6:30 a.m. they got a report of a fire at a cottage in the Miles Standish State Forest.

Firefighters arrived at 107 R Crawford Rd. to find the cottage totally destroyed.

No injuries were reported.

Then minutes later, at around 6:45 a.m. they received a report of a fire at 5 Truman Ave.

Bradley says there were six children and two adults in the home at the time of the fire.

Bradley says they were alerted by smoke detectors were able to escape unharmed.

There are no injuries are being reported at this time.

The home was fully engulfed in flames and Bradley says it sustained heavy fire and smoke damage.

Crews are still on scene.
