Rockland: Electric Blanket Causes Fire At Distillery

An electric blanket is being cited as the cause of a fire in Rockland.

Fire officials tell WATD News the fire was reported at 3:45 p.m. Thursday at Crooked Oak Distillery at 40 Reservoir Park Dr.

The blanket was covering the mash bill that is used in the fermentation process.

The distillery makes gin and vodka.

Officials say the fire was contained to the immediate area and there was no major damage or injuries reported.
