Crews in Brockton were called to the scene of a two alarm fire Sunday night.

The fire was reported shortly before 7:30 p.m. at 88 Highland St.

Fire officials say that crews arrived on scene to find heavy fire showing from the third floor porch and extending to the attic.

The fire went to a second alarm and mutual aid was requested to cover Brockton stations with Whitman and Stoughton providing assistance.

Officials also say an off duty Fire Fighter who saw the fire and “kicked in a couple of doors to get everybody out.”
