The Marshfield Zoning Board of Appeals approved a site plan and a special permit for a second recreational marijuana dispensary in town.
After more than a year of hearings, the ZBA approved Health Circle’s Request for the dispensary to be located at 120 Enterprise Drive.
Chair of the ZBA Lynne Fidler, says one condition includes the applicant working with the Marshfield Police Department on security and grand opening plans.
The majority of the discussion focused on a fence or a barrier to divide the property from the next-door Stellwagen Brewery. The applicants will have to present final plans to the ZBA before meeting.
In previous meetings, Town Planner Greg Guimond had concerns with traffic impacts at the intersection with Route 139. It’s rated a level service of “F”, with nearby recreation fields and new housing under construction.
Health Circle offered to work with the Massachusetts Department of Transportation to analyze the timing of the signal to minimize traffic impacts. That was included as a condition to the special permit.
This is the second dispensary approved by the ZBA, Frozen 4 had plans approved at the Buckles and Boards building at 985 Plain Street.
