January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month. Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz says contrary to what some people may think the victims, the young women and men who are exploited, did not choose this type of life because they wanted to.
Cruz says a recent grant the D.A.’s office has received will help them continue to pursue this issue, whether it’s getting help for the victims or prosecuting the perpetrators.
